Hermès - Menswear Show Autumn/Winter 2015/16 in Paris with interview

At Hermès all in question was subtlety. Subtlety in the materials and in the detailing. The colours are harmonised with the nuances of dark tones for graphic effects and the silhouettes are both supple and structured. For the bottoms, they can be straight leg with contrasting bands, large and asymmetrically zipped cuts, jogging style... these are the multiple propositions of trousers which Véronique Nichanian offers men for next winter. The same for the tops like this one in leather (the speciality of the house) present in the form of a sweater in sheepskin or even more luxurious in crocodile. A luxury however not ostentatious, for a refined elegance.Interview: Véronique Nichanian: My aim is to write another chapter in the men’s wardrobe each season, and the exceptional thing in this house is to be able to offer the most advanced research on leather and the idea of perforating and then being able to embroider the sheepskin, it really is something that we haven’t really dared to do or haven’t thought about, but it’s true that the result gives lightness to a jacket, with a nod to these embroideries on this belted and collared jacket. It was about graphics, about Prince of Wales checks, pinstripes, the cuts, like the way the men’s wardrobe is and also this type of relaxed style for the jogging bottoms and certain fabrics I used to make the big sweatshirts which are the fabrics of jackets.Music from the show
