Cédric Charlier - Collection Spring/Summer 2015 in Paris (with interview)

Go to the sun at Cédric Charlier. For summer 2015, the designer envisioned something sensual with spicy colours. The jackets were sleeveless, with frills and visible stitching. Fluidity was seen throughout the collection from the tops to the dresses with suspenders, and triangular cuts. Fluidity and ease were the key words, which were reinforced with the addition of sliders featuring bows and gold pearls. Interview: Cédric Charlier: I really wanted to develop an atmosphere around the sun, and I wanted this sunny atmosphere to have a certain sensual freedom, and this sensual freedom would be expressed through feminine motifs, which are seen in the fluidity, with the necklines, the embroidery and the colour.I worked with all the roses that came in red with a little touch of spice and all the colours were pigmented almost high in vitamins… so we went with the saturated colours. This season I worked on developing a certain sophistication but contrasted it with a nonchalant attitude which came through with the flat sandals, and there you go, it was comfortable for the body in movement.
