Gucci - Menswear Spring/Summer 2015 Collection in Milan (with interview)

A seaside feel governs the Gucci show, where the sailor-stripe establishes itself as the main feature of this chic and elegant collection, finding itself on the end of a jacket sleeve or all over a pair of trousers. Frida Giannini reinterprets every naval essential; the pea coat, sailor pants and thick knit jumpers. Suits are simply worn over a thin t-shirt beneath and trousers rolled up over the ankle. Blue and white dominate a colour palette brightened by hints of red. It is the materials hold and give structure to the clothes. With slicked hair and glasses on his nose, this handsome Gucci sailor is ready for a stopover in Capri!Interview:Anna Della Russo :I feel it very chic and Italian; for me there was this Capri kind of mood in the 70s but there were also references to marines and the military, all done in a very chic way, which is one of Frida’s signature and I love the accessories, all the big bags and contrasting stripes, which are very interesting in terms of quality, how how the accessories are always done in a very high quality and are very precise because what we love about Made in Italy is the high quality fabrics and refined manufacturers.
